Chaos

For the past two months the City of Edinburgh Council has been "reconstructing" the Abbeyhill junction , through which I walk everyday that I am in Edinburgh.

Week by week it has been getting more and more chaotic and this morning it was virtually impossible to work out where pedestrians were meant to go .

Citizens of this city are used to arbitrary and lengthy road closures and long term disruption. But I have never seen worse than this with two routes now blocked and debris everywhere .

There are also not many discernible signs of day to day progress even though the few information notices scattered around say that at least part of it should re-open a week on Friday.
