Mum's Anniversary

A year ago today, I lost my Mum.  It was sudden and unexpected.  Nine weeks later, we lost Dad.  

I reflect on a year when we've had so much to cope with, yet found strength as we've trusted in God.  What gave Mum and Dad the most pleasure was having all the family together. We have so many treasured memories of family events celebrated, holidays together, sitting around the table sharing stories.  They were great encouragers, happy, lots of fun. 

Today we've all been in touch with each other, supporting and giving thanks. A card arrived with these verses from 1 Thessalonians 4 : 13-14, and then verse 17 .."and so we will be with the Lord forever."  A wonderful hope.
