Ward 31 - I don't have to stay do I

Catching-up from last weekend!

Fortunately the answer was No and we went home.  I think Ann's internal voice was crying, `Don't leave me here!'.  A bit of an epic weekend.  Saturday two visits back to Ward 14 around lunchtime. First to have the drain bottle changed.  Note to Ward 14 nursing assistant who changed the bottle - it always helps to remove the clip from the tube!  Back home and in a mess we head back to the hospital again - thank goodness we are only 6 miles away on not too busy roads!  The staff nurse sorts the problem with lack of drainage, but needs to remove bottle as pressure is lost.  Back to A & E on Sunday to see SHO who was involved in the second operation to re-fit drain.  We wait four hours as she's in the operating theatre.  Are sent up to Ward 31 where pre-admission admin & checks are done!  (Nursing assistants think there efforts may be a waste of time as we might be going home.)  Fortunately this turns out to be true and the SHO thinks the draining of the fluid will wait until our appointment at the clinic on Monday.  Another of these cases where our ignorance of what symptoms to expect have not been helped by a lack of explanation.  All this while the rain teemed down torrentially for two days!  This is Ann impersonating Rick Stein ;)  I took a few more where she is looking on despairingly.  She said I could use this one - I think it will be part of the hospital series!
