Another Friday comes.......and goes!

Not a wheel has turned at the track since June 1st!

What started out as an 'inconvenience', has now become a right royal p.i.t.a.

To be honest, realistically i didn't think the meeting was going to go ahead anyway but it's been so many weeks since we've had speedway at home that I ignored my doubts.

And by the size of the crowd when we arrived, so had a lot of people!

We paid our admission, got our burgers (with onions) (and relish on mines too!) and took up our usual spot.

The official word was, if there was no rain before 19:30hrs then the meeting WOULD go ahead!

19:20 It started to rain!

19:28 Meeting abandoned!

And just to rub it in, after the stadium had almost emptied, it stopped and brightened up!

Close but no cigar.

Just as well, I don't smoke anyway.
