Allum Bee

Spent this afternoon getting a demonstration of two off-road disability electric bikes, which our community business are looking to hire out next Summer as part of the mountain bike initiative.

David from Tramper Bikes had come all the way from Fife to show off the versatility of the bikes. We all managed to get a shot and put them through their paces going up forest tracks with gradients up to 1:4. They certainly are the business and will hopefully open up some of our lovely countryside, which is currently inaccessible to the disabled. Took a few shots of the bikes but decided against posting them as they were all totally ordinary.

Instead, decided to go with an earlier blip of a bee on one of the lovely Allum flowers we have in the garden. These are the same ones given to me us my sister last October that have now been in flower for about three weeks.

I liked the bee's wings, which almost look like they re made of glass, something I had never observed before. Blip certainly makes you see things differently!

Time to go and get the BBQ fired up for dinner ahead of the Spain Italy game, which we intend watching with our visitors. As Carlos has Spanish blood, I think we will be supporting Spain!
