i am not sure - what it is about these plants - that so fascinates me - they really aren't all that pretty - not really - i mean, they're simply a lot of leaves! - in various colors - granted, rich saturated colors like this gorgeous red

and each year - i tell myself i will not get caught up - in the same fascinating whatever - which has trapped me the previous years - i will have some self-control - not purchase yet another one of the plants - because you see they always - shed all their leaves on me - they never last! they always die out - i am left with sticks - by the end of the season - i know some people who have poinsettias - which survive for years and years - looking beautiful as the day they - were 1st bought - not mine - i can only be so fortunate - if mine last me 3 weeks - but it's okay - i get them to live right through - the holidays themselves - if i were to get a bit more, yay - then i would declare it has been...
