Dutch science
Tonight I had the privilege of hearing Dutch scientist Hans Clevers deliver his Harvey Lecture here on campus. The talk blew my mind - not only because of all the amazing work he and his colleagues are doing (growing miniguts and other miniversions of organs in vitro, per example) but also because it was simply one of the best scientific talks I've every heard; straight into my top 3 for sure! And as added bonus I got to see some DWDD (the most popular talk show of The Netherlands) for the first time in years - featuring one of the patients his work might make the difference for.
