Driving Rain

Over the bridge and through the rain. On my way home after hearing Larry Nabori's quartet play music of the 1940's inspired by the book A Night in Shanghai by Nicole Mones about an African-American pianist who joined other expats in Shanghai just before Japan invaded China. The players were all so good and Larry is always enthusiastic about the songs they play, like Manhattan and The Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Larry also leads the Minidoka Swing Band we traveled to Japan with last month.
