Crucifix

A couple of the pots on the deck contain little other than a profusion of crucifix orchids. Both need some work to separate the clumps and one of our neighbours is keen to have some of the excess.

Towards the end of a lovely sunny and still afternoon, I sat out on the deck and looked around, near and far, for something that took my fancy, to be today's blip subject. It had to be this photo of the bright orange orchid. 

The anticipated sunset was obscured by heavy black rain clouds when the sun was still well above the horizon. The clouds are now covering the sky, more or less.
