aphid buffet

This chickadee was so engrossed in a cache of little insects that it ...didn't notice me...and popped up with a face full of them!
Hubby and I are off to a conference for a few days so I may end up having to backblip. But be assured that my possible silence has nothing to do with the wildfires here, which are more and more contained each day.
