Dog sitting for a friend today while she and her partner are off at the Hop Farm Festival in Kent. Latest report is that Bob Dylan was disappointing and that the day belonged to my all time rock heroine Patti Smith who was superb. I have tickets to see her (yet again) in Brighton in September.

So we looked after two more schnauzers, Truffle and Macy. Rufus wasn't best pleased and spent all day asserting his claim to be No 1 Son in the house.

Truffle, pictured here, is a lovely old fella. He's 11 and has one ear permanently up and the other permanently down. We have also discovered he has a serious foot fetish - he loves to sleep by feet and gets very excited at the sight of shoes.
