Festive 4

A busy day: an early walk on the beach, a couple lively hours of knitting with friends, and then off to sketch downtown with another group. I've been out drawing three times this week, which is some kind of record for me. I'm finding I don't mind sitting out there the way I thought I would; I zone out and forget where I am after awhile and stop worrying about being conspicuous.I can just draw.Then my butt starts to hurt from sitting on the little camo-print folding stool and I become a real person again.

I guess I shouldn't ignore the latest BlipNews, but I haven't put enough time into researching what's going on. My understanding so far is that the current owners are wanting to get rid of Blip and have offered a buyout possibility to a group of blippers who seem willing to put a whole lot of work into saving the site. This group has set up a crowdfunding site to raise money for the venture. It would be a new adventure with strong ties to the original aims and intentions. I think there is a March deadline. I'd have to know more before I decide to participate. Feel free to correct me if I don't have the details right. In the meantime it would behoove us to back up our journals. There are a couple links floating around to programs that blippers have designed for this purpose.
