A view from Jeanneb

Shropshire

I have never been to the county of Shropshire before so today, en route to daughter Grace's in Bristol, we have taken a detour.

This is Stokesay Castle near Ludlow. The view is taken from the top of the south tower and you can see the lovely gatehouse and the nearby church.

It is an English Heritage property which we looked for as we joined last year at Kenilworth Castle but haven't used the membership yet. (Well we are from Yorkshire)

We went on to Ludlow which is worth a further visit and then to Bristol via the southern stretch of the Wye valley, which was lovely and again somewhere to return to, and even into Wales before crossing the Severn Bridge.

We took our time as Grace is rehearsing all day for a show we are going to see her in tomorrow.

A very pleasant day despite November like fog over the M62 this morning!
