Must be Wimbledon

At last the strawberries are starting to ripen. I planted about 25 plants along the whole length of our new raised bed. They were rooted runners from my other strawberry plants either Cambridge Favourite or Cambridge Vigour I only had two varieties but had 'mislaid' the labels. I pegged the runners into 9cm pots of compost and when they had rooted I cut them from the parent plant. In the Autumn when the roots had filled the pots I planted them out.
A couple of months later when they had become good bushy plants our neighbours cattle got into the garden and ate every plant down to the soil! They seem to have survived better than ever.
