Spent this morning clearing weeks worth of excessive vegetation away from the house. Don't the weeds just love this weather. Am thinking that I might substitute the lawnmower for a couple of goats if it continues. Even if it rain's they can still chomp their way through a fair bit.

Got to do something - 3 hours and I never got near the stuff that is laughingly called a "lawn" - you know it's bad when it looks more like a meadow!

Ah well, it's raining again and that probably means that it will be two inches higher by tomorrow night. Even the stuff that I cut back today will be back if it keeps this up for the rest of the week.

I hate that about gardens. You spend your entire summer waiting for a day when you can get things done and never get a chance to sit out and enjoy them as a result. Hey ho.

Off to watch the footie.
