Welcome to the world of learning

We are now at the Lungi Airport Hotel in preparation for our flight to Casablanca at 5:00 am tomorrow. En route we called in at a school to observe a tutorial taking place and talk to the learning assistants and their tutors. This photo shows some of the women and their maths and English tutors leaving the school.

Again it was an interesting and helpful visit. One of the women was talking about how their group had got smaller since the start of the programme:

"Some people have decided to leave, some are dead ..."

This really brought home to me what these people have been through, and increased further my admiration at what they are determinedly trying to achieve.
