Keep calm and colour a kaleidoscope

Not sure what to make of this latest kerfuffle. I'd like to see blip continue, but that won't happen without growing the subscribers, and I can't see that happen without advertising.
Also, having coughed up out of my pension for life membership last year, I'm a little peeved that the first site-wide communication in over seven months isn't " sorry you've waited so long to hear something " but an indirect " give us some money ".
What annoys me most though is those sunny souls who pronounce that they don't want to hear anything negative. Why not ? As I see it people tend to be Tiggers or Eeyores, and I'm a lifelong Eeyore.  Yes, it would be great to see the site continue and fully regain the spirit that disappeared when it was redesigned late last year, to be followed two weeks later by a casual, " Oh, and we're also in with Polaroid now ". But everything's not coming up roses yet, and I rather doubt it will be.
Time to switch off the computer and sharpen something more than my tongue.
