Wild Woodflower
I came across this lone Iris in the woods the dark purple petals with the beautiful markings just had to be my blip for today, Greeks believed that the goddess Iris would search for a purple Iris planted above a gravestone to know whether the deceased wished to be escorted to heaven. Iris Sanguinea is a purple iris commonly known as Blood Iris.
