Early Sunday
“Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” —Abraham Lincoln
Passed this lovely hydrangea as I was letting out mouse and bringing in Christman decorations from the shed. Have now retired back to bed to listen to 'a Point of View' and 'BH'.
Interested in the concept of choosing to be happy. I first heard this from Richard Branson who said many bad things had happened to him, same as most people, but that he had chosen to be happy. In 'the Bridge' last night a character says he made a lifestyle choice, after many vicissitudes, that he will be happy. Seems to all link into Mindfulness, which I'm not
good at. But feeling quite happy this morning!
