And then there was fruit

Our little experiment in growing stuff has been a mixed success. I managed to kill the courgettes (mixture of too early out and too many slugs), the lettuce grew like mad but we're not that fond of the variety (you learn these things), the sweet and chilli peppers seem to be looking OK and our tomato plants grew really huge and then fell over. So, we propped them back up and tonight I found the first tiny baby tomato. I'm hoping to get a few more so I can make pizza sauce and tomato soup. Yumm :)
