It was crazy busy at work today and if the journey there this morning was anything to go buy I shouldn't have expected anything less.
Why is it that when the rail companies plan when they want to do some engineering works they always seem to decide to do them all on the same day?? Surely it is a ploy to piss us all off.....take all our money and give us nothing back in return!
I watched the sun and the rain through the window, and fortunately the day went by not too slowly. After work I met my friend for a manicure, he helped to prep my nails for the shoot next week and as he worked I sipped some Earl Grey and listened to his awful jokes haha!
He wants to ask a friend of mine out to the cinema and we giggled about how he could do it in a casual way that would not result in disaster and avoid him losing face if she were to say no.
We concluded that he is incapable of doing casual, he just has to bite the bullet and take her out.....only time will tell if he manages to pluck up the courage.....he is a good guy, he deserves to be happy, I wish him all the best ;)
But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine.
~ Thomas Jefferson
On my way home I took this, it's not quite what I had in mind, but what I had in mind wasn't great anyway and I really like how this came out.....
Measure your mind's height by the shade it casts.
