I know everyone thinks I am mad driving my kids to swimming here, there and everywhere. Putting it before parties and play dates.
That my kids aren't going to swim in Olympics so what's the point.

But swimming shows my kids that goals can be achieved, records can be broken, commitment and training hard gets you further especially when life continues to bring on unique challenges. It has given them so many skills, the strength to reach for the stars and the understanding that comes with the hard times and the joy that comes with the wins.

It's taught me how to cheer no matter what and that it's ok if they don't get there straight away if ever.

But more importantly then all of that it gives them great friendships on and off of the poolside. In years to come they may not have made it as far as the Olympics but they got memories to keep for a lifetime and friendships that will last forever.

This photo of these kids makes the endless hours watching them swim, driving them to and from training, getting up early on a Saturday morning. Is why I do it - yes I would love them to swim in Olympics but as long as the walk away happy then it was worth it.
