Totally Pickled!

An utterly miserable day, what do you do? Get pickling! Our house smells like Pledge's Pickle factory, but it's sure to be worth it, with spiced pickled pears and shallots in sherry vinegar. Should be ready in about three weeks. I do like a pickle!
