Blipvent Calendar 6: Communist Christmas

Final day in Berlin and for a bit of history and culture we visited the DDR Museum, an interactive exhibition of life in the erstwhile East Germany - a bizarre, fascinating and occasionally horrifying chapter in our surprisingly recent past. One of the lighter exhibits was a recreation of a typical East German home, currently replete with a crap Christmas tree. I didn't think the decor was too bad actually, not too different to Northern England in the 1970s... ;-)
