Town of Carlisle

Devastating scenes again in carlisle.

Our beloved football ground is under water again.

There were floods in 2005 but this seems to be much worse. Flood defences were put up after the floods in 2005 but even them couldn't hold back this amount of water. Seemingly there is more to come.

I've had a relaxing day at home, i didn't venture out as the police were advising essential travel only and as i had no essential travel i stayed in. I've been glued to my telly and keeping up with a social network for updates on the awful flooding situation. I've had many gasps and 'awz' and a tear or two as I feel for those directly affected by this dreadful situation.

We are lucky, we are not flooded, we have a telly, food, electric and a dry house which is warm. Tonight I am blessed to have all these things which others in carlisle may not have.

Even the football team got it right scoring 5. This can't have been easy for them knowing the devastation they had to come home too.

I send out prayers and thoughts to everyone hit by this and hope they have a quick repair.
