Schrödinger's cat found
Went into Philadelphia today on the local train and did some tourism. A tour of Independence Hall ; a walk through cobbled streets to Penn's Landing; a bus up to 22nd and Fairmount for a lovely gingered beet and ricotta salad; then the culture of the Museum of Art.
They have an exhibition of American still life "From Audobon to Warhol". I'm not big on the fruit, but there was some great stuff - I particularly liked this cat painted onto a box. They also have an incredible permanent exhibition with loads of Monet and a fair amount of Renoir, van Gogh and others. There was a really interesting display of Shaker furniture too - I didn't know anything at all about them and now I know loads.
Back on the train and a quick stop at Wegman's for a top up of wholesome organic goodness.
