Osprey

This fierce looking Osprey took off very quickly, as soon as I bought my lens up to my eye. So I tried to pan to keep up with him in the air over the sea and was reasonably successful because his eye is still bright. The extra today is of another bay you can get to if you are lucky enough to have the use of a boat and is a lovely serene sea bird watching location about 20 minutes away from the Marina.(Dolphins frolick about another 20 minutes away further out to sea) In this photo you can see we've been beaten to it- the early bird catches the worm! Expect to see Osprey, Egyptian Vultures, Sooty Gulls and the two types of Cormorant here in Oman, Socotra & Great Cormorant.
