Mono Monday 97. Distorted Bottle Stopper

I found this bottle many years ago when I was renovating my old family home. After lifting some floor boards I was searching round to get access to another area and came across this bottle. The house was built in 1888 so I assume one of the builders had discarded it then.
The bottle is the type that had a marble in the neck of the stopper to retain the pressure in the container. To open it the olly or marble was knocked into the bottle with the stopper. And here it is 127 years later as a distorted blip hosted by Skeena
The bottle was manufactured by Lyon Bros of St Helens for James Salisbury of Liverpool. Originally containing beer or mineral water (most likely beer!)
