Homeward Bound

My plan for this morning was:
1, Walk Poppy to school
2. Drive Margaret (MIL) to Cambridge Station
3. Come home
4. Drink coffee, watch TV
Then go to work for a couple of hours this afternoon.

This all went slightly wrong when school rang at 7.30, needing me to cover for the yr 3 teacher whose son is ill. I explained the situation and said I'd get there as soon as I could.
I dropped Poppy outside school at 8.20 and then Margaret and I sat in traffic for 45 minutes, crawling our way into town, then I turned around and whizzed back to Whittlesford and did a days work..
Apparently M has landed safely back in Carlisle, no water -wings required.
Time for that coffee and TV now.
