Strong Stuff

When in Ledbury a while back we picked up a couple of bottles of local cider.  These we put into the wine rack. They were corked bottles so it seemed fair enough.

Today, one bottle was in the wine rack as expected; the other was open, 1/4 full, the cork nowhere to be seen and no evidence of any leakage.

Either we drunk that 3/4 and got so sozzled we put the open bottle back into the rack!

Neither of us can remember even opening the bottle.

We conclude that Martians briefly visited the house, investigated the bottle, taking the cork and a sample back to Mars, and, not knowing different, replaced the bottle where they found it.
