Torres Del Paine - Patagonia, Chile

We just had the most epic 5 days doing the 'W' hike through Torres Del Paine national park.

Every single minute of it was absolutely breathtaking! We saw breathtaking scenery such as Grey Glacier, the Torres themselves at sunset and sunrise (3 stone mountain peaks over looking a frozen lake), stunning mountain ranges and pristine lakes. We also saw incredible wildlife including woodpeckers and foxes and massive hares.

We were also unbelievably lucky to see a Puma which we're told is very rare. The Puma looked as beautiful as it did ferocious during it's slinky walk through the campsite and across the river.

The hike was also breathtaking in the literal sense as we hiked for 5-8 hours each day, between campsites, with at least 15kgs in our backpacks. At night the temperatures would reach freezing and most mornings we woke to icicles on the outside of our tent. However we were joined in the hike with a great group including Ali and Cam from Australia, Ashley and John and Cailin and Darren from Canada, and Ally and Anais from Australia and Andorra. We were rewarded with amazing sights at each of the three summits and the sense of accomplishment we now having competed it is unrivalled.

Patagonia is already one of the highlights of our entire trip and it's not over yet as tomorrow we cross to the Argentinian side to head towards El Calafate and El Chaten.
