Golden Windows

A wonderful day in Salisbury with L today not seeing anyone except each other.  We had promised each other a day of nostalgia in this city where were married 35 years ago.  It is curious how much you take for granted when you live somewhere and then realize the attraction and beauty of a place when you return.  I had 66 photographs to choose from today and in the end could not resist this one that summed up the day.  The windows of Salisbury Cathedral were reflecting the golden rays of the setting sun over Harnham Meadows and the gold effect was stunning.  The cathedral is itself a magnificent sight to behold, and the weather today for December 7th was just about perfect.  I had to take off my coat as I was too warm walking the meadows and the blue sky remained right until the sun set without a cloud to interrupt its disappearance - see extra photo.  Bliss!
