A little ray of sunshine

Saying Goodbye

Throughout my life my grandparents have always live by the sea, first near Whitstable and for the last 30ish years in Hampshire. I have spent many a happy hour walking along the prom with Gramps enjoying the fresh air and chatting about life. It seemed only right to take a walk along the front this morning before we went to the church.

It was an emotional but lovely service, which followed most of the instructions left by gramps. Not surprisingly, for a man who did so much for so many, the church was full of family and friends to celebrate the life of someone who always put others first, who enjoyed life to the full, who was wise, thoughtful and had an amazing ability to move with the times.

We'll all miss his smile, his laughter and his wisdom, but we're all very grateful to have had him in our lives for so  many years.
