Cueva del Tesoro
i.e. Treasure Cave
"La Cueva del Tesoro is the only marina visited cave in Europe. It has been discovered cave paintings of animals, pottery and objects belonging to the Neolithic flint lithic industry among which a Solustrense Arrowhead. However, what has been internationally known for is the ancient oral tradition and written which reflects the existence of a hidden treasure for Ali Ibn Tasufin Almoravid Emperor in the twelfth century. Since the seventeenth century took place treasure-hunting expeditions, and later continued in the twentieth century by Manuel Laza Palacios under more scientific premises until his death."

So that's what we did today besides walk with the dogs. :-) It's the day of the Immaculate Conception so it's a bank holiday here. There were loads of Spanish visiting the caves, so most of the guided tour was in Spanish. The tour guide did tell us few things in English, but it was a very short version. But I understand. She had groups coming in every 45 minutes and the tour took 45 minutes. Amazing to think that there we people living in those caves. I can't wrap my head around that. I wonder how much their backs hurt after sleeping...
