Reflections on the fridge door
What ever it is my kitchen units are made out of they have the unusual quality of changing colour in different light. Generally they look blue, then sometimes gun metal grey, other times sage green.
The reflection of the open sash window reveals the afternoon blue sky and backs of the houses. At the bottom herbs from the window box Isobel gave me as a kitchen warming gift.
Possibly most revealing is the pattern created by the top window on the right. The bevelled glass dates from when the house was built in 1930. The pane to the left was replaced more recently when the technology to make glass perfectly flat had been refined.
