Stranglers and Simple Minds at the AECC. Years ago, Simple Minds supported the Stranglers. And Simple Minds crowd was no doubt swelled by the rank and file of the old order of Aberdeen's football casuals, who adopted the band before moving onto the Stone Roses. Nope, just a lot of folk singing along to the Simple Minds Anthems or with the feisty lady with the amazing voice with hair even bigger than mine. Kim and me sang along too, you couldn't not, Jim Kerr didn't want to stop singing, it was the Las night of the tour. And as for the Stranglers, hearing Golden Brown live after all these years and then The Duchess was worth heading out on a wee night out on a school night alone.
