Frozen.....

I am reluctantly throwing all these frozen berries out today.

They have been re-called by the supplier after it has been found that they are a potential source of Hepatitis A.

They were grown in China, and the company here that markets them is based in Nelson.

We were using them a lot in our Smoothies etc, and I just assumed they were NZ grown .
I mean why would they not be!! Especially coming from the Nelson area.
I usually read packaging information all the time.....but not this time.

Why, when we are living inside country like New Zealand are we importing such stuff... It's not just berries either, apparently a lot of veges are coming from other countries.

It is ridiculous .
