Sculpture at Tasman

On my way to Mapua and Richmond I had time to stop and take a photo of this tall sculpture that has been placed at the top of the Moutere Lagoon. It is to celebrate the birds of the estuary and the environment they live in.

From a distance it doesn't look much but get up close and the shapes cut out of the steel look quite good especially where you look right through to the ones cut out on the other side.

Visited a friend who has broken her ankle and my 97 year old auntie.
Did some shopping and I had had enough.
