Faded Beauty

The roses are beautiful this year. Our three standard rose bushes of Burgundy Iceberg have been incredibly top heavy with glorious blooms. Then they faded. Yesterday I dead-headed the three standards and rescued a couple of sprays of the flowers. Indoors they have gradually faded and although they are now well past their best they still have a special beauty of their own.
