Old Marker Beacon, Lyttelton Harbour

We often pass by this old beacon when we're paddling on Lyttelton Harbour. It's definitely seen better days, with the nearest pole no longer attached to the main structure. It looks as though the quakes may have had an effect too; fairly rickety!
There was only a small group of 5 of us paddling this morning. I've put an image into Extras, showing the old and the new - our group investigating another old dunger of a yacht that's moored in Cass Bay - looks very rusty and down-at-heel.
