Flag

It's such a little thing, indicating huge consequences.  This little flag flies in the corner of the hospital home intranet page, and changes colour depending on the pressures.  When it's black, there are queues everywhere for beds, and it's likely some operations have had to be cancelled - not good for the hospital, but particularly bad for the affected patients.

I'm not sure if it turns a different colour if we declare a major incident - but I might get to discover this winter - black is becoming increasingly common.
