Sign of Winter?

It's beautiful today but definitely not wintry weather over here. I know it's not officially winter until the 21st, but surely it should be colder and queen bumble bees should be hibernating! There were a few around this morning on blackberry flowers and lots of gnats still about too.
I saw Dartford Warblers and Goldcrests but they were too nippy for me today. I did manage to spook a heron in a field on the way home. I've put some shots of it flying on my Flickr. I was tempted to use the heron as my blip but really like colours in this shot of the bumble bee.
