Shepherd's Warning

I took this just before 8 am. It is only light 7 hours here on a dull day. The wind got up and it is really chilly now.

i have developed a streaming nose to go with my sore throat and tight ears. It's been a good excuse to curl up on the sofa with Jane Austen. I recently listened to a Melvyn Bragg podcast where he was speaking to John Mullen about Emma. I once did a workshop with him on Northanger Abbey. He is an enthusiastic teacher, and has helped me read and re-read these books, getting more out of them each time.
