Ba humbug

I called into ASDA this evening to buy a few bits to take with me to my holistic therapy night with friends M and P. I saw these gnomes, elves , not sure what they are meant to be, ornaments for Christmas. I glanced at the price tag and was horrified to think any one would spend £35 of hard earned cash , that is more than 5 hours work at minimum wage, on something that is neither useful or beautiful. Who buys these things, and more to the point who designs them?
