Hidden tree-cutter

I looked out this morning (I'd been trying to have a long lie)  but the sound of chainsaws had woken me up.  Then the sound of a wood chipper kept me awake.... but what amazed me was the guy walking on the tops of the trees that he's just reduced by about half. 

His chain saw was on a cord attached to his belt -  when he dropped it, he just needed to haul on the cord to get it back to his hands but all that time, the motor still ran.  Loudly! 

More than slightly concerned for the stability of the buildings around about taking so many trees down at one go.
