Crane In The Lane

A huge crane appeared in our lane. An unusual sight in the village. This morning on the way back from the post office in town I saw that it had been joined by half a house. The other half of the house was on a giant trailer parked in the nearby garden centre.

I stopped and asked if anyone minded me taking pics. The project manager was happy for me to do so. It's a German WeberHaus. These homes are energy efficient and manufactured off-site. They have excellent thermal efficiency and air-tightness along with triple-glazed windows, resulting in a reduced carbon footprint and lower running costs. I think it's going to be lovely. Amazing how quickly it has gone up.
