Traditions

When we first married an older couple told us of a tradition they had of buying a Christmas ornament in each place they traveled as a souvenir. Hubby and I quite liked the idea, so we started doing this over 18 years ago. We have been blessed to visit many places. Of course, some countries do not celebrate Christmas, and in that case, we buy something small and typical of that place and hubby makes it into an ornament. Then, as we decorate the tree, we pray for people we know in that place or, if we don't know anyone, just for people in general to come to know Jesus. This ornament is a new one for this year that we got when a kind friend gave us a tour of where he works. Glad to be able to add prayers for him to our tree.
