The OIP Sub

This is the Italian sub sandwich from Original Italian Pizza shop (also known as OIP), a local chain here in central Pennsylvania. 
This particular sandwich is practically legendary in my family and those of my children who now live far, far away from one of the many local establishments actually yearn for this mouth-wateringly delicious cold concoction of various Italian meats, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and hot peppers on a sumptuous homemade Italian roll.
My husband and I took a break from doing a little Christmas shopping today and stopped by the local OIP for dinner. The Italian which is pictured here was my choice. He chose the Buffalo Chicken Tenders sub, as always, because apparently the French have a love affair with chicken and fries...and yes, he did order the side of fries. Yummm!
