A Rose For Mum

Today would have been Mum's birthday, my thoughts today returned to last year when her hospital bed was surrounded by her friends and cards overwhelmed the bedside cabinet.

It has been a day of cousins! This morning I tried to ring my only cousin as it is also her birthday today. Every year mum would phone her on this day so that they could wish each other a Happy Birthday.

In the evening we were invited over to near Brigham for a gathering of cousins. Jerra and kanyl, Kath, and Pat with partners arrived at the home of Derwentlass for a pie and pea supper. Pat was making a visit to Cumbria so the gathering was organised.
