Or Lunaria annua or plain Honesty. These are its seedpods or silicles.
Technical - placed on a flatbed scanner, lid open, moderate lighting yet the background comes out conveniently dark. Depth of focus seems to be about 1cm.

It's a fine day, sun and some cloud, and I should be out and about. Instead I am stuck at home waiting for an engineer to come and fix my mechanical loo, courtesy of grandson who dropped a forbidden item into it.
